bob-and-family_tnRobert Whitaker, Senior Pastor rowhitak@indiana.edu

Bob has been the Senior Pastor of ECC since 1998.  He has been married to Brenda since 1981 and together they have two adult children, David and Tricia.  He holds an M.Div. and S.T.M. from Yale Divinity School and is completing a D.Min. from Princeton Theological Seminary.  He loves his family, maintains an irrational commitment to the Chicago Cubs, and enjoys riding his motorcycle on the rural roads of southern Indiana.

john---lori_tnJohn Mangrum, Senior Associate Pastor jdmangrum@hotmail.com

John is the “old guy” on staff and has been at ECC since 1991. He served for nine years as Youth Pastor before moving into his current role as Sr. Associate Pastor. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Lori, and they have two married children, Kara (and her husband, Brian) and Caleb (and his wife, Jessica). John’s primary role at ECC is pastoral counseling and he has Masters degrees in counseling from both Grace Theological Seminary and Western Seminary. He loves good movies, international food, Ohio State football and any excuse to hang out with family and friends.

dan--bb_tnDan Waugh, Pastor of Adult Ministries dlwaugh@indiana.edu

Dan and Lynn, his loving and patient wife since 1997, have three boys – Caleb, Jacob and Luke. They have been a part of ECC since moving here from PA in 2005. Dan and Lynn graduated from Houghton College and Dan completed his MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is currently working towards a ThM from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Dan’s love for the church survived growing up as a pastor’s kid and has only grown through the years. He enjoys baseball (go Tribe!), Ultimate Fighting, movies, hard rock music, and dead theologians (the living ones are acceptable from time to time).

Josiah.JPGJosiah Leuenberger, Director of University Ministries leuenbergerjj1@gmail.com

Josiah and Brittany came to Bloomington in the summer of 2012 from the mountains of Johnson City, TN. Originally from western Pennsylvania, they were married in 2009. Josiah and Brittany are both pastor’s kids and met as students at Grove City College, where they were on the track and field team together. Josiah served as Director of Student Ministries at Bethany Presbyterian Church and coached college track and cross country in Tennessee. Brittany is taking classes to prepare for a career in the medical field after teaching middle school for two years. They are excited to be a part of the ECC family, and feel privileged to be a part of what God is doing through ECC in the lives of college students in Bloomington!

doug--bb_tnDoug Varella, Middle School Ministries dougv@eccbloomington.org

Doug has been on staff since 2004 and originally hails from Florida, where he took water activities, such as surfing and fishing, very seriously. In 2007 he married an exceptionally bright woman named Kristin who is an IU graduate. They both love students and enjoy seeing them mature into bright and talented adults that love Jesus. Doug enjoys learning and is currently in the process of obtaining his masters from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. If you asked him what he did in his spare time he would say, “I like to golf, fish, read, hike, build things, volunteer at different non for profits in Bloomington, mow lawns, garden, hang out with people, drink coffee in moderation, watch movies of it doesn’t matter which genre, collect music of all types, spend ‘quality time’ with my wife, and sleep.”

Rob Girvin, High School Ministries robgirvin87@gmail.comRob8

Rob has served in the Youth Ministry of ECC since graduating IU in 2010, and has worked specifically with high school students since the summer of 2011. He married AnnaRose McCabe in December of 2012. He holds bachelor degrees in both Religious Studies and Sociology from Indiana University and is currently working on his M.A. in Theology at Trinity University. He loves being around and interacting with all sorts of people and spends most of his time talking to people, talking about God, and talking in general. He also enjoys music, being outdoors, and reading.

matt--bb_tnMatt Wooden, Director of Children’s Worship mwooden@indiana.edu

Matt has been on staff at ECC since 2001. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in English and Classical Civilization, and has nearly completed his master’s degree in religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Matt married Leah in 2002 and they have three children: Ellie, Ben, and Rowan. Matt enjoys spending free time outside and reading/writing.

abra-clampitt--bb_tnAbra Clampitt, Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Programs aaclampitt@gmail.com

Abra is born and raised in Bloomington, attended Indiana University and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten at Edgewood Primary until she became a mom, and resigned from her position to stay home with her children. She and her husband, Andrew, have two little girls, Audrey and Naomi. Abra enjoys being creative by sewing fun things for her girls or revamping her house with another paint project. She enjoys family time with their traditional trip to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and a day out on the lake. She dreams of owning chickens and having a clothesline.

Cynthia--web bioCynthia Huggins, Business Manager cynthiah@eccbloomington.org

Cynthia has been on staff at ECC since 2009.  She was delighted to discover that her passion for detail and minutia, lovingly tolerated by her husband, is actually a useful trait and helpful to keeping the ECC checkbook in order.  She is partial to sugared-up lattes, chocolate, and the occasional Orangina, especially when enjoyed with a good, thick volume of historical fiction.  She delights in spending time with her husband and two grown children as long as it does not involve any sort of long distance running, preferring to engage her beleaguered family with endless recitations of irrelevant but obviously fascinating trivia.

Patty Rogers, Office Administrator pattyr@eccbloomington.orgPatty new_0002

Patty was born and raised in Indiana and has been on staff since August of 2000.  She and her husband, Tom, have been happily married since 1997; they have 6 children and 7 grandchildren.  She loves reading a good book, country living, baby chicks, and watching the birds from her kitchen window.

Lynne Snyder, Secretary lynnes@eccbloomington.org

Lynne was born in the North, raised in the South, and went to college in between!  She arrived in Bloomington in 1996 to study Music Education (recovering band geeks of the world, unite!) and decided she didn’t want to leave, joining the ECC staff in 2002.  Lynne likes photography, travel, nature, historical biographies, becoming more adventurous, and her two precious kitties, Mittens and Muffin Kouwe.
